Bryce Canyon National Park

Tom hikes over a white sandstone ridge, seeking Salvador Dali’s mustache.
Ancient Peoples here believed that the spirits of their ancestors were embodied within these rock formations. Who could ask for a better memorial…
Not realizing Bryce Canyon is primarily a front country park and relatively small, we only spent a day hiking in Bryce before spontaneously dropping in on the Grand Canyon for a couple of days. The 24 degree nights might have influenced that decision… http://www.kentuckyvoice.com/murrayvoices.html

You know what’s cool about Bryce Canyon?—beyond the legends and stuff, of course —- the rock formations all have names that really describe what they look like. Hey, did y’all make it to Monument Valley, Utah? That’s another place that I’m very fond of. Lots of John Wayne movies were filmed there thanks to John Houston. Mexican Hat is just down the road….miles and miles and miles and miles down that long long lonesome highway where there’s not a bush to pee behind. Yes, I speak from personal experience. Good thing that highway is not a high traffic area! hahahahaa!
